From Ms. to Mrs ..My sister's wedding!

Miss Z had her first mini vacation last weekend. We packed up all of our gear (with a baby this means: bottle warmer, Pack and Play, Tub etc..) and checked in to the Deauville hotel on Miami Beach for my sister's long awaited nuptials. We arrived Friday May 3rd in the afternoon and got a room with a spectacular view!
I spent Saturday night with the bride because I knew it would be the only time we'd have to catch up.. Weddings are always so "go, go, go"!

The next morning we woke up bright and early. My sister was off to the salon and I was off to spend time with my squishy.

Bath time in paradise

Mom and Sister
Zoe came out to greet everyone for a few minutes but it wasn't long until it was time for her bed time and she was cranky. M and Z spent most of the wedding in their jammies in our room. Cause folks, that's how it goes when you have an infant ;)

NYC Pt. 3

Let me start off by saying that I was so excited to watch the NY Giants take home the Superbowl last night!! In my mind, my one visit to New York is enough street cred' to claim them as "my team".. sorry Dolphins, lol!
Back to the last installment of our NYC anniversary trip..

Fourth day- on our way to the 9/11 Memorial Site
Visiting Ground Zero was an experience i'll never forget. I was initially hesitant to post these pictures because I felt it would be insensitive to survivors and family members of those lost, but I think this is story that needs to be shared and never forgotten. What happened on that tragic day opened our eyes to unimaginable hate but also brought our nation together like never before. Having listened to the stories that are shared by survivors, our nation will never stop grieving, but on that day we gathered as one to pick up the pieces.
I was extremely emotional..
Check out World Trade Center 1.. it's almost done!
After an emotional morning we headed to China Town. I scored my favorite treat.. blubble tea!!
Unfortunately I didn't score a sweet fake purse (..you know, to complete our NYC experience). It was way too obvious that it was our first time and we just felt so wrong being cornered into an alley while police patroled the streets. Mark promised me a real Louis if we left.. I was happy to comply =)
We then made our way to Little Italy for a stroll and a Cannolli
Since we had such an early start that day, we had enough time to visit Ripley's Believe it or Not.
After the museum we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our anniversary dinner that Mark had planned.
We had a delicious dinner at The River Cafe next to the brooklin bridge and overlooking Manhattan. It was gorgeous!
We spent the final day of our trip relaxing, visiting Wall Street and Pier 17.
We even found a model on a shoot. (This picture does not do her justice but she was huge! at least 6ft. tall)
Coming back to the city we visited Barneys, H&M (again), LV and Tiffany's
We said good-bye to NY in the best way imaginable, watching Lion King on Broadway!
Ready to go (with my Carrie-inspired fascinator)
I left my heart in NYC
XOXO

NYC pt. 2

On the second day of our trip we took a train to Mahwah, NJ to visit family and to see my cousin kick some serious b-ball butt!
  Isn't my niece the cutest!!
On the third day we went uptown to The Museum of Natural History
(Mark was excited to pin point the shooting locations from the movie "Night at the Museum", LOL!)
Before the sunset we crossed over to central park
Strawberry Fields
and then it was off to a yummy dinner and dessert at Serendipity (I recommend visiting this place after you've had dinner elsewhere, what we had for dinner was ..bleh)
The Sundae was DIVINE..to say the least

Part 3 coming soon...

Our anniversary trip to NYC - Part 1

To celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary Mark and I took a trip to the city .

The view from our hotel in Midtown
We were exhausted from the early morning flight but we hit the road anyway towards Rockefeller Center.
I was so excited that we arrived on the last day of the famous tree.
These folks camped out (in the cold, ill add) for two days just to see Kelly Clarkson and Charles Barley host SNL
Smooching up Matt Lauer at the NBC gift shop
Stopping by the famous Magnolia Bakery.. YUMM!
After having a delicious red velvet cupcake we finally gave in and headed back to the hotel for a nap.

When we woke up we went to times square to visit the Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Later on we headed back to Rockefeller Center to see the lights at night and have dinner at Del Friscos Grill.

  More pictures to come...
XOXO
